A Little Island Named Mallorca - Part 2 - Yoga with a View

For the second part of my travel series, I want to share a really amazing experience with you. I used to use vacation as an excuse not to have to work out, but since I fell in love with yoga, I have incorporated my practice into my travels. I enjoy practicing in different studios, with new instructors, and at unique locations. I use social media or good ol' google to find yoga studios or events before I leave for vacation.
While doing some research in preparation for my trip, I came across a blog piece on Mallorca Talks about a German Yoga Instructor who teaches outside of  Palma de Mallorca - the island's capital! I immediately reached out to Uta and we set a date to meet during my vacation. Fast forward a couple of months, my sister Nina and I took the one hour drive from ArtĂ  to Palma de Mallorca, which is located on the West Coast of the island, to meet Uta for a private yoga lesson right by the ocean for sunset! Sigh...I know...perfection!
Uta is not only a yoga instructor, but also a wellness coach and personal trainer. She offers massages and private lessons, such as paddle boarding, to her clients. For more information or to book her if you make it to this beautiful island, see her contact details at the bottom of this post. I highly recommend meeting with her if you make it there!

We met outside of an apartment building right by the ocean, where we were able to put down our mats on a set of cliffs that had steps leading right into the water - my guess is that boats used to dock there in the old days.

Before we got started with our session, Uta asked us about our level of experience and preferences. To me there is nothing more special than to feel the cool ocean breeze and listening to the waves during my practice.

After a very relaxing shavasana, Nina and I stuck around to watch the sun set. We don't get a lot of those moments together since we live so far apart (sniff), so this is one of my favorite memories of the trip!
